Scarecrows must be constructed to withstand the elements, have their own support system, and be appropriate for family viewing.

Drop off scarecrows at the table outside the shed any time from October 10th on.
Have your name, phone #, and category pinned to the back of the scarecrow.
Scarecrows will be on display at the Gardens until Festival Day when the public will vote and prizes awarded.
After the festival (with owner permission), scarecrows will be displayed in the city of Live Oak.
Need some inspiration?
Think about a scarecrow that represents your Club, Business or Organization, or a scarecrow inspired by your favorite movie, book, singer, or hobby.
Frames: 2x4's, pvc pipe, tomato cages, old broom handles or something similar.
Stuffing: Hay, straw, styrofoam, fiber fill, plastic grocery bags, bubble wrap, pool noodles.
Newspaper is not a good choice as rains will make it lose its shape and become very heavy.
Heads: Buckets, milk jugs, plant pots, stuffed pillow cases or fabric.
